Bathrooms

There can be no mistaking the fact our country is doomed as a society unless we can recover our proper social course and resist the Political Correctness guilt being placed on the majority by a very small minority and the liberal media.  I believe over 90% of Americans see the current LGBT&C bathroom matter in this simple way;

  1. Men use the men’s bathroom.

2. Women use the women’s bathroom.

3. Lesbians are women…they use the women’s bathroom.

4. Gays are men… they use the men’s bathrooms.

5. Bi-sexual people use the bathroom of their birth gender.

6. Transgender people who have the appearance of the gender they seek to be, use that bathroom.

7. Transgender people who do not yet have the appearance of the gender they seek to be use the bathroom of their birth gender.

8. Confused people use the bathroom of their birth gender.

After all, this has been the way things have basically worked since the 1900s. I think it is fair and sensitive to the LGBT&C community as well as to the majority of the population who have been asked to flex every which way or be labeled bigot, sexist, racist, and fascist.

As for high school kids….the same applies with the exception that a Transgender Bathroom could be provided to make it easier on all the students. High School is tough enough.

Political Correctness on these things must be resisted. Common sense must rule the day. The Liberal Press has fueled these fires and we have seen our political leaders bow to the nonsense in fear of losing votes. God Help America.

The Boardroom vs. the Kitchen Table….or….How has it been working for you? Mk

Give Trump the Chance

Oregon Junior Senator Jeff Merkley, who just endorsed Senator Bernie Sanders for President recently wrote the following;  “It is time to recommit ourselves to that vision of a country that measures our nation’s success not at the boardroom table, but at kitchen tables across America”. The Junior Senator is right on the mark to suggest we must look at things from the kitchen table first.  Unfortunately he is backing Senator Sanders the Socialist, who if elected, would only make things worse.

Yesterday, in a written speech, Donald Trump spoke directly to the American people asking the question; “How has the current system been working for you and your families”?

Mr. Trump went on to illustrate how the delegate system in both parties has been controlling elections for many years. The idea that in our electoral process we do not base the nominees in both parties on the straight vote totals by the respective voters has been a revelation for most Americans.

This is why Senator Sanders can win the last 7 out of 8 primaries and the DNC and Media report there is no chance he can beat Hillary Clinton because she has over 400 “Super Delegates”. It is also why Donald Trump can be millions of votes ahead and the RNC and Media keep saying he will be unable to reach the 1137 delegates needed for the nomination.

Donald Trump has been right on this all along. His detractors say he is a whiner, a poor loser, a complainer. They say he has been too lazy to learn how the system works. Well we should all be thanking Donald Trump for pushing all the wrong buttons, for not playing along to get along, and for standing up for the future of our children and grandchildren.

Is Donald Trump flawed? You bet, but show me a person who is not. Want to see a quick summary of Kasich’s so called “Washington Outsider” tack record? Look him up on Wikipedia. Same goes for Ted Cruz.

I know this; America has a $19 trillion dollar debt and it is growing. We have had our so called leaders in Washington sign on to TPP, the Iran Nuke deal, and the numerous fat cat lobby deals that have nothing to do with our nation’s prosperity.  Most Americans today would answer Donald Trump’s question with a very clear…not been going well at all Donald!

The boardroom profits do not “trickle down” to our kitchen tables.  The system is rigged, and has been for a long time. We can no longer afford to let our “bought and paid for leaders” take us over the economic cliff.  Donald Trump is sincere in his desire to try to save our jobs, eliminate our debt, build a future of opportunity and prosperity for our children and grandchildren. He really does want to …“Make America Great Again”!

I say we give him the chance to try.   Mk

Golf

I watched the Masters final round this past Sunday and it was both entertaining and inspirational. Jordan Spieth showed so much class. It is easy to be classy when you are winning, or crowned the victor, much harder when you are in the midst of blowing it and everything is falling apart. Even worse though is blowing it while everyone in America could be watching your total choke.

Jordon was on the back 9 with a three shot lead. All he had to do was maintain pars, and maybe one birdie at best. He had the Masters in his hand, his to lose. Well unfortunately golf is a really hard game. He shot a 7 on a par 3, basically coming unglued, and he lost the Masters as a result. He did not just lose it though, he lost being a back to back winner. Since he won the Masters last year tradition requires that he put the green jacket on the winner, in this case, Englishman Danny Willett. With the heartbreak, and I am sure embarrassment, engulfing him, he held it in and was a gracious loser. He even seemed genuinely happy for Willett’s special moment.

We do not teach young people how to lose graciously. In fact today there is an aversion to even teaching kids about winning and losing. The fear is we could harm their developing self esteem. I am pretty sure Jordan Spieth’s parents taught him how to win and how to lose. There is no shame in losing, or failing, only in not trying. Jordan Spieth is still hurting from this loss but I would put money on the fact he is out there getting ready for the next tournament. For in life, just as in golf, the only shot that matters….is the next one. Mk

Do you want it sugar coated…or right between the eyes?

In the movie “Six Days,Seven Nights”, after crash landing and finding they are marooned on a desert island, Harrison Ford asks Anne Heche, “Do you want it sugar coated, or right between the eyes”? He then proceeds to tell her the reality of their dire situation. When he finishes Heche timidly asks…”could you give me the sugar coated version?”, to which Ford replies…”that was the sugar coated version”.

Our country is on the verge of economic collapse. The deficit is $19 trillion and growing. We can no longer pretend the political class can fix this, they have no clue. We need an experienced business minded President. The situation is dire. The American people, like Anne Heche’s character in the movie, want it sugar coated. The only reason we are learning how bad things are is because of Donald Trump’s Presidential Campaign. He has highlighted the huge trade deficits, corrupt lobby system, ridiculously rigged delegate system, jobs lost due to near treasonous trade deals, and the immigration issue, plus so much more.

Donald Trump has, for the most part, given it to us….right between the eyes. I hope we have the courage and vision to elect him President. One more administration of business as usual, and sugar coated lies from our political leaders, will likely spell the end of the Republic. Mk

Make Hay

I am a believer in jumping in on important tasks or endeavors as soon as possible. I believe this has created in me a certain impatience toward those who are more reticent, or reflective, about starting new challenges. I am confident it is better to make careful analysis before jumping forward, especially with bigger things like school, jobs, moves, and of course spouses. However, being of the age now where I have a lot of look back on years, and probably far less look forward years, it is clear to me that it is better to jump in the lake than to sit on the shore wondering if there could be a snake, alligator, or a crazy scuba diver down there just waiting to get me.

What am I saying? To young people I urge you to think big and do not fear making big decisions. Failure, or a wrong choice, should not be something to fear. The thing to fear is indecisiveness which leads to paralysis which leads to indecisiveness….and it becomes a life long circle. I can tell you I have made a lot of mistakes….no, a huge amount of mistakes. But I can also say I have had more successes, done more things, traveled to more places, and had more fun than I could have dreamed when I was younger. I leave you with these thoughts;

1. Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed no hope at all…. Dale Carnegie
2. I know the price of success: hard work, dedication, and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen…. Frank Loyd Wright
3. Nothing is more freeing than the force of duty: duty to self,to family,to church,to God,to work,to Country…Duty Frees the Soul…. Mk
4. When you are at the plate, with the bat in your hand and a full count, and the pitch comes in you can only do one thing….swing at the ball…. Mk

Get out there and swing at those pitches…you will have a blast….and you know what? You will hit more balls than you could have thought and will even send some  over the fences! Mk
